Visayan Co-Workers

i really find it funny whenever i hear a Visayan talks in English because they have a tongue as hard as a stone.. we had a maid before who is a Visayan and i really laugh at myself when i hear her talk.. her pronounciation for "pwede" is "puydi," for "sibuyas" is "seboyas," and for my name??? "doren." hahaha!! when we became trainees of Intervention Partners, there we met Kuya Jerson and Teacher Alvin who never fails to make us laught because of their way of talking.. Here are some words that we laugh about when they talk..

Teacher Alvin:
seedling-sedling
four thirty-fur therty
Cambri-Cambre
lotion-loshon

Kuya Jerson:
color-color(long pronounciation of the "o" sound)
Lyn-Len
bukas-bokas
kulang-kolang

there are more, but i just can't remember it.. i'll re-post this when i remember the other words..

A tortoise is a land-dwelling reptile of the order Testudines. Like their aquatic cousins, the turtles, tortoises are shielded from predators by a shell.
