Behavior Therapist
i was interwieved today by Teacher Tina, the Program Supervisor of Intervention Partners.. after my interview, she let me observe an on going one on one class.. i observed chico, i think he's a 6 years old boy with autism.. during the observation, i noticed that in every activity, there is a basket that the child will pack away.. i asked the teacher what's the use of the baskets.. he said that if the child finishes four baskets, he will have a 3-5 minute break and the child will be the one to choose what he will do.. it is a reward for short.. he can either read a book, play or eat.. after my 15 minute of observation, i went to Teacher Tina's room and she discussed to me the terms and conditions for the training, the salary if we will be hired and the rules of the center.. if i choose to drop out of the program in the middle of the training, i will pay 10,000 pesos for the knowledge and skills that i've learned (even if i didn't finish the training).. if i get hired and refused, i will still pay 10, 000 pesos.. but if i get hired and not refuse the training will be for free.. once i get hired, i will be payed 110 pesos per hour plus 5 pesos per hour for the transportation fee.. their pay day is during the 15th and 30th day of the month.. there will be no tax, SSS and other benefeciary ek-ek that will be deducted from our salary.. to some, it is not that big but for me, it is.. this is the work that i've been waiting for.. maybe that's the reason why there aren't no companies that called me to come for the next interview.. i know it will be very challenging to handle kids with special needs but i will be happy and contented on this field.. i just hope and pray that i will get through the training..
