A Father's Love

i never realized how hard it was for my dad to be away from all of us for almost 15 years by now.. i also never felt sad when he went abroad for the first time.. maybe because i'm still at a very young age of 6 when he left..

today, my two kuya's left for abroad.. kuya pong in dubai and kuya ping in australia.. i slept in pilar because ate cez' manicurist will come and i personally like her so there, i decided to stay in pilar until today.. tatay and kua pong's family were the only one who accompanied him to the airport because his flight is 12 in the afternoon and for me and ate cez, that's only the start of our day.. while eating lunch, ate cez told nanay that since after they've accompany kuya ping to the airport at 6pm, why don't they also send me home here in makati.. she also said that jany and ethan should go with me and then she will just fecth them since she'll have dinner with her friends in ayala.. so the plan happened.. after my french manicure and pedicure at around 4pm, we ate merienda and accompanied kuya ping to the airport..

it was like a long ride even though we're only 20-30 minutes away far from the airport.. ethan and jany felt sleepy in the middle of our journey that they slept on their dad's arms.. i really can't help myself to think that these two kids, inspite of having an irresponsible mom, is very lucky because i can see that kuya ping loves his kids very much.. and i know that he loves them more than anyone in the world..

when we arrived in the airport, he woke up jany and ethan and told them that it's time for him to go.. ethan was in a bad mood because of course, who wants to be awaken in the middle of his good sleep so when jany spank him for just touching her foot, he cried.. while ethan was being cranky, kuya ping bid me goodbye and kissed me on the cheek.. then it was time for him to say goodbye to his kids.. he hugged and kissed ethan.. and did the same with jany.. he told jany to be a good sister to ethan and promised that he'll be back on november.. maybe he can't help it, while saying things to jany, he suddenly took off his eyeglasses and wiped the tears in his eyes.. and me being such a "pusong mamon" looked on the other side to wipe my own tears.. i don't know what it is with men, but i really can't help myself whenever i see them cry.. probably because i only see men cry once in a blue moon..

when goodbyes are done, nanay and tatay sent me, jany and ethan here in makati.. jany told me that she just ate her moniegold just so she can stop from crying.. i was really touched by the scene that i thought about my own father.. i've come to realize that never it was easy for him to be away from us because he won't and didn't saw us grow and have our own minds.. i know this thing for a very long time, but it's the only time that i've understood him perfectly.. without his sacrifices, we wouldn't have this wealthy life..

so you guys out there who also have parents working abroad, when they go home for a visit, make them feel how thankful you are that they are your parents.. sometimes, you need to see it from others before you realize that what they're doing is really for us..
